It was a great pleasure to welcome Jean-François Lemaître to Bielefeld as the guest speaker in our Behaviour & Evolution Seminar Series this week, in which he talked about “Understanding sex-differences in ageing: insights from natural populations of mammals”. Jean-François is a CNRS researcher based at the Laboratoire de Biométrie et Biologie Évolutive in Lyon, where he works on the evolutionary demography of wild mammals. Thanks for your visit, Jeff!
Just back from the 16th International Workshop on the Development and Function of the Reproductive Organs in Münster, where I was an invited speaker. Thanks to the organisers (Stefan Schlatt, Joachim Wistuba, Evelyn Telfer and Michele Boiani) for the opportunity to contribute to a really diverse and interesting programme of talks.
Many thanks to Joris Koene, Elferra Swart and Monica Lodi for organising the 2015 edition of the Simultaneously Hermaphroditic Organisms Workshop in Amsterdam last week (and belated thanks to Joris for his visit to give a seminar here last month!). We’re looking forward to hosting the SHOW in Bielefeld in 2016.
This blog will serve as a repository for my research and that of my group – new papers, projects, developments etc. In the meantime, you can find out more on my official university webpage here.
